The Partial Kingdom

During the reigns of David and Solomon, it appeared as though God's Abrahamic promises had been fulfilled. God's People were in God's Place under God's rule and blessing, and under God's King. God made Abraham's descendants into a nation, occupying the entire Promised Land, and enjoying God's covenant blessings. The nations were being blessed by Solomon's wisdom, and God's Presence was centralized in Jerusalem. But this kingdom fell because it was only a model, pointing to the Perfect Kingdom established in and through Jesus Christ.
